    They are stiched and then the decortive stich was added.

    I've rescued a couple of old quilts from thrift stores before and what a good feeling to become the new owner!!!!!

    why do all of us quilter feel the needto rescue old quilt tops, irons, machines, fabric and all other related stuff?
    I love to rescue things like that :wink: :wink:

    What is the stitch called? It's very striking on the colorful wool. That should keep you very warm!!

    Unsure maybe the feather stitch. I think it is the same stich used on crazy quilts.
