I found my little jewel on Craigslist - original owner with cabinet and all these wonderful accessories. I wouldn't been able to do this if I hadn't received such great advice from everyone on this forum. I'm as happy as a lark. I spend countless hours reading the threads. But tonight, I'll have to cut my reading time so I can go play with my new machine. Thanks for all you do - please keep up the good work!

congrats! I have a 503a which is basically the same machine just doesn't have built in stitches. I absolutely love her! I even got brave and took the motor out and cleaned the brushes a few weeks ago. She free motions so easy!

YAY!!! I am a huge fan of the vintage Singer machines. I have 2, plus 3 other brands, and I love them all!!

Your Rocketeer is sooooo cute!! I just love the lines of them.

Thank you all, like I said to the lady I purchased her from, "she'll be well taken care of."

I have a 503. It is almost like that and mine is in the same identical cabinet. I bought her brand new in l963. She still runs like a top. Also have other machines that I use.
