Congrats on that wonderful Featherweight! It is a beauty. There is a dvd out there that tells you how to service those yourself. I borrowed my friends dvd and now my featherweight is just humming along. Those machines are very easy to clean and oil and maintain.
I'm sure you will get many hours of happy sewing on that one.

I just saw that you were asking about using that Featherweight for FMQ - there are special feet and feed dog covers made for that machine, then you can use it for FMQ.

What a lucky girl you are! A great treasure. And yes, once kids come into our lives it's difficult at best to do our 'creative' sewing work. I know.....once my babies got to 1st grade, it was nothing but repair work and customizing store bought curtains until the kids got grown. I have (2 yrs) been trying to pick up where I left off, only now it's a whole new world that I'm learning and enjoying! rotary cutters, really great idea!
Kind Regards,
MaryAnna

Oh, I am so happy for you and what your Dad never got rid of. You are going to love the memories the stitches will yield for you. Congrats!
