    Default Finished Applique Quilt

I finally finished my first ever quilt/applique wall hanging! I just loved the way it turned out. It is rather large, though, 60x45, and now hangs in my bedroom instead of the the bathroom as originally planned.
I posted a question to the Board back in December about quilting the pieced background before or after I did the applique. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...t-t258987.html
I decided to quilt it first which seems to have help keep it square. The next time I do something like this, I'll just do some basting to hold the quilt in place, then quilt after the applique. With quilting first, I lost some of the height of the batting, so the flowers are 'puffy'!

    Thanks for letting me share!

Very well done, it is really pretty! You were going to hang it in your bathroom? That must be huge!
