    I stitched 1/2" in from the edge and snipped it just like between the squares - about 1/4" apart not quite up to the stitching line. Had to wash it twice (after the first wash I realized I missed the edges of a couple of blocks :oops: ); washing and drying makes the "snips" ruffle up.
