This one is made from 1.5" strips. The only thing I really wish is that I had made it bigger. Since I do have plenty of scraps, I'll probably do another one only make it bigger. It's lap quilt (? maybe a bit bigger than that) size now, but I really like it.

I finished this yesterday using various off whites/whites for the binding.

I don't think you're crazy in the least. Creative and talented and determined. The quilt is beautiful. I love to see a myriad of whites and creams in your background. Makes the quilt look so rich.

I don't usually do something like this "without a break". IOW, I'd work on it for a while and then work on something with bigger squares/pieces and then go back to the smaller pieces. I can't do it nonstop like some here apparently can who only work on one project at a time... I'd be in the looney house if I did that!

I think you are talented, and thrifty. This is magnificent!! Look what beauty you have produced from those tiny pieces. I absolutely LOVE it.

I feel the same way, justflying, but now I have five quilts in the process - two PSQs (small, one nearing completion), two 5 1/2" blocks (quick to do & a distraction from the PSQs), and one 12.5" pieced BOM in 3 colors. Plus always trying out new blocks. Perhaps it is best for me to have only two going at the same time. I guess it depends on the quilter.

I don't think you are crazy. Tell him that you are being frugal and saving him money. If he thinks you should use bigger pieces then that will mean a trip to the store. He will see the light.

Love it! This intense piecing may no be for everyone but if you enjoyed the process and the results, good for you! Looks like a real scrap buster to me. That's a lovely design. Is it your own?

You're not crazy. You're a quilter! Nice job!!! I can't see myself tackling something that small at this point in time. If it's smaller than 2 1/2" strip, it's gone!
    Go forth and sew!

No, it's not my own...it is taken from a book Burgoyne Surrounded by Elizabeth Hamey Carlson. Someone sent me the book as a Christmas present a few years ago and this is the one featured on the book cover.
