I want to slap my brother!

My brother came for a sanity visit. He's never made a quilt. He came to the quilt store with my mom & me and decided he wanted to make a quilt. He pick one called Phoenix from "Quilts Without Corners" by Cheryl Phillips. We tried to talk him into an easier one, he only wanted to do this one. The directions called for gradation fabric. He decided to make his own! It turned out fabulous! I just want to smack him. He did an awesome job - first quilt - you can come smack him tName: 100_3805.jpg

I think men are so creative. One of our local QS "Three Dude's" does awsome projects. Your brother did a great job.

Speachless! That is beautiful! Showed my DH, he was impressed, and that was before I told him it was his first quilt, then he was blown away.
After 2 years with the same signature I have been requested to remove it. Bye

The expressiveness of this design and colour choice must have been very cathartic for him- I like it too.

WOW! I thought the photo was of the pattern, not the quilt that he made himself with graduated fabrics. Have to say the guy has talent, but slap him for me anyway, LOL! May in Jersey

Sometimes a non-quilter goes into a project without any reservations because they don't know about all the difficult things they might encounter. Please give your brother a big punch for me!

Amazing work! Men have that special touch with quilting! I've seen stunning quilts that are pieced by men and their LAQ skills are just as great!
