Not only men, but some women don't get it either. First, you should ALWAYS BUT ALWAYS ignore stupid comments and have convidence in yourself for what you are doing and secondly, you should have asked him when he made his last quilt. He probably doesn't GIVE to anyone with that attitude.

You made a gorgeous quilt and it is apparent it took a lot of time. You have much to be proud of. Just come here for your compliments from now on, ok? :) :) :)

Here is a HUG for you. There are people in this world that can not seem to keep all opinions to themselves. You did a wonderful job on this quilt.

Hugs are given here, but only with your head held high, that man just need to be a grouch and you were there to ease his pain. So remember that you did a good thing at the doctor's office today by easing his pain which I bet he was saying I could use a beautiful quilt. Keep up the great work.

Sometimes when others make negative remarks to you they are just unhappy with themselves. Guess maybe he was feeling a little old and wanted someone to need him. When we get older sometimes we feel left out of the newer things in life and feel like we are of no worth anymore. With all the newer things out there the older things feel of lesser value…. SO maybe his remark was a way to cope with being older and of lesser value than the fresh new fabric in your beautiful quilt.
