I'm really happy that they had it. I get books to show off at my quilt guild meetings and this is one of the books I brought to a meeting awhile ago. For me, it's a book that I would buy - if I didn't have access to it at the library. There are some really cute quilts in it, several of which are on my to do list 
Maybe your local library can get a copy or has a copy already so you can see if you want to buy the book? I deviated a lot from the original design - which was just a dachshund in a "S" shape... which didn't go it for me. I'm happy with what I ended up making for it
