I do mostly straight line quilting with my walking foot too! Making slightly wavy lines works well too. I couldn't quilt without my walking foot.

You've done a great job. Actually, I like the quilting as it is. That style is called Channel Quilting. Going both directions is called Crosshatch Quilting. I do both, but you don't see nearly as much Channel Quilting and I like it a lot. Another fun way to quilt is to start with one diagonal line, corner to corner; then using that as your guide keep quilting in channels working your way out to the third corner. When you get to that corner you are half done! Turn the quilt and go back to the center line of quilting and Channel quilt out to the last corner. As you radiate out from the first line of quilting, each line gets shorter and it feels like you are accomplishing so much so fast. You can stop there or you can use the same diagonal method to do Crosshatch quilting. (I can't imagine trying to quilt without my walking foot.) Keep up the good work.

What a cute Quilt for a little boy. A walking foot can work wonders for straight line quilting. Isn't it fun!

This is adorable! And isn't a walking foot about the greatest invention?
