OK well.... I am on a break at work and don't have the pictures with me. We started with a warm up excerise making an improv block using Denyses scraps and after that experience I decided to abandon these blocks (for the class purposes) and continue the block I made during the warm up. I loved the blocks I made in preparation for the class but in the warm up, we had to basically let go of controling the outcome of the blocks by not choosing our fabrics (just grabbed from a bag blindly) and we had to NOT use our rulers. So.. these blocks now looked too forced to me. I want to finish them.. maybe just sash in yellow or?? Anyway.... more when I post the picts.

Interesting. I hope that you'll post the blocks soon. I look forward to seeing them.

Well here are the improv blocks ... I think what I really enjoyed is the process of making them and learning to 'trust' the process.

Really? Gosh I really like the blocks only because of I enjoyed making them.... but if I saw these without making them I might not think there were so nice ;-)

If Denyse Schmidt ever does any workshops near me I'm going to have to do one. It seems like it was very informative and fun.
