    Interesting pattern for batiks

My first quilt using batiks was a disaster - I made a Drunkard's Path and it was so busy I hated it, and gave it away as soon as I could find a willing recipient. This one came out a lot better and i think it looks like stained glass. The quilting is FMQ on my midarm using a freehand design based on a thistle pattern from one of my Japanese applique books.

Beautiful quilt.....I have been wanting to do a stained glass quilt, and I love the Turning Twenty pattern......solves the mystery of which pattern to use.......wonder how 3/4 inch black strips around each piece would look ???

Just noticed your black strips seem wide?? what size did you cut?? I was thinking cutting 3/4 inch for narrow lead look.
( yes I have done stained glass before ), figure I won't get burnt with soldering iron using fabric.
