I have worked with a guy for 25 years, he and his family recently moved house, and his wife has told him to "get rid of your mothers old sewing machine, we never use it".
Guess who got it. The carry case is a little beat up, but the machine itself is in perfect condition. And it comes complete with knee control and extension table.
I know how well she sews, because I used her last about 14 years ago.
Now all I need to do is download her birth certificate from Singer, and put her upstairs in her new home.
Here are a few quick pics.

Yes I'm pretty happy to have her, although I did promise that on my death bed I would will her back to the original Gertude Mary's grand daughters. I thought this was only fair.

Now all I need to do is find a box of attachments for her.
She came with no attachments, although the lovely wooden cover she came in has an attachment for holding the accessory box. She also came with 3 original instruction booklets.
I guess at a pinch I could use the attachments from the treadle, but it would be nice for her to have a set of her own.
