Hi,
I bought an iPad2 and of course it needed a case!
In my cupboard was some pre-quilted fabric leftover from a different project. Decided I didn't want a handle on it as I don't want to carry it like a purse, might get bumped. I did want a closure on it versus just a sleeve.
This is what I came up with, I used the pre-quilted fabric for the outside and the lining, I basically made a sleever with a flap closure. I used the other side of the fabric for contrast on the flap, added a buttonhole and sewed on a button....done! The lining inside is also the dots like the flap.
It has two layers of the pre-quilted fabric so it's quite padded. I made it a bit bigger as I have a bright green Smart Cover on order for it and wanted it to fit in the case also.
Love the iPad and love my case, too!
Bev

Note: Even if your don't embroidery by machine, go into Embroidery Library. Look under projects, there is a step by step instructions for making a IPAD Sleeve with pictures also.
You can print it and use the instructions for making it.
