Those are so pretty! The old-style aprons are just the best. I love aprons, but rarely remember to put one on, unless I'm cooking for the holidays. My mother used to wear hers out, and so did my grandma, but I forget that I even have them.

Those are wonderful. My grandmother always wore an apron. I certainly need one when I cook. Maybe I should make a few!

I still use the apron I made my mom many, many years ago, probably while I was still in school. I couldn't believe she had kept it all those years too. Maybe it's about time I gift myself a new one and love your first shortened pattern. The recipients will love them and glad you made yourself one too. We are usually the last to get any of our creations, aren't we?

This is the first time I have ever heard of an Irish apron.

Your aprons are great , nice job! I read in Elenore's book the ladies would carry the eggs in by holding them in the apron

Love all your aprons. I wear one a lot when cooking or baking. I have made them as gifts for others, too.

Nice aprons, and love the style. My grandmother, who I lived with until I was 5 and next door to until I was an adult, always wore an apron unless she was away from home. Then they seemed to fall out of favor - I guess bc laundry became so much easier. These are so pretty you'd want to wear one, even if you weren't trying to protect your clothes.
