    i made this lap for my mom's cousin, a life long quilter who is now in a nursing home. she and her mother made quilts all their lives. i often joke that i waited til all my relatives who were quilters, were gone to decide that i want to be a quilter, too. then i had to pay someone to teach me. LOL (i took lessons at a local quilt shop)

    Still looking, see no Irish Chain, but I do recognise paper pieced blocks when I see them. Very nice work!

    Very nice! The quilting really adds to an already gorgeous quilt. Thanks for working so hard on posting your pics. Hope next time won't be so difficult.

    i know only enough about this computer to be dangerous. LOL will see if i can get more pics to show up.
    thanks for the kind complement. i have found that at 58 yrs old i finally know what i want to be when i grow up. a quilter. now i have to keep working to be able to afford fabric:)

    thanks for the kind words. the lady who quilted it for me calls it a herring bone. it is an all over design.

    Very nice quilting. The baby quilt looks so cuddly. You do beautiful work. I am a couple of years older so it took me a little longer to get the
    "I finally know what I want to be when I grow up" LOL Same, same, have to earn just enough to keep me going.

    Your Irish Chain is beautiful. I love the colors and the quilting. Your paper pieced star is fabulous!! You should be doing it in the star block swap!!!
