I love this pattern and the way you appliqued the outside edge of the double Irish Chain. You did a great job. I made one several years ago and gave it to my son and his wife for CHRISTmas. Because there were problems in the marriage, I said if anything ever happened between them and they split up, I would like for my son to keep it. Unfortunately the marriage did break up and the quilt disappeared with the now ex wife. There is a lot of work in one of these (for me) and I wish I knew what happened to the one I made as the ex wife denies having it.

Love this quilt. I also like Tartan's idea of adding another border to fit your kingsize bed.

Love the snowmen inserts and the applique is perfect for the quilt! Your hand quilting looks awesome!

I love your quilt! I had a similar problem with my EPP star quilt that I started 2 years ago. I put on the borders last year and finally got it quilted at my LAQ friend's house. When I got it home I realized that we had gotten a new, thicker queen sized mattress and put a 3" memory foam topper pad on it. It's too small. I have liteally hundreds of hours into this quilt which will now be on the guest room in the basement. sad.
