I bought this today at a Holiday Baazar for $10. More than I would usually pay, but I wanted the pattern! It unties at the sides, slips over your oven door handle. There is a duplicate towel on the backside. I'll no doubt be making a bunch of these for gifts NEXT year! (Yikes...pardon the fingerprints on my oven  )

That is really cute. I'm forever picking the darned towel up off the floor. Maybe I can find a similar item w/ instructions...

Thanks for sharing, it's a great idea.

Yes, it is very cute! How do I get on your gift list for next year?
Could you maybe post the pattern when you get it drawn out?

That's darling - I HAVE to make some of these!

I just googled kitchen towel dress pattern and found this tutorial: http://calamitykim.typepad.com/photo..._to/index.html

The pdf that goes with it is harder to find: http://calamitykim.typepad.com/pattern.pdf

    Here's another one:
    http://www.craftsayings.com/projects...ss/index.shtml

And here's one on SewForum that's a little different, she used hook and loop instead of ties on the side:

    Have fun!

When I first looked at the photo, I thought it was a real dress! Seriously, it's that adorable. I have some friends would pay that $10 and not blink. They would probably love one.

That is darling. It would stop Mr. Kitty from hanging on them and then sleeping on it when I'm gone from home.

Glad someone posted the web sites. I have about 6 different patterns for these. There are so many different things you can do as far as trim, etc. I even saw one that is jeans (legs too).
