A little table topper for myself
One for my son and DIL. Must do something about the shocking lighting in this house because this is the same fabric as the one above.
A pair of these for myself with the scraps from the table toppers. These are wadded and lined with fire retardant cotton so quite substantial items
Another tt for my eldest son and DIL. I always struggle with this colour scheme but as purple is Gemma's fav colour I don't have a say in the matter!
A little one for my youngest son and DIL. I thought this might appeal to my little grandson. I was experimenting with scissors and folded paper when I decided to follow through using fabric.
A teeny tt to use up some squares and try out some more of the messing around with stuff
This is the reverse of the other one.
And my main task was finishing the borders, quilting and binding this one. Was devastated when I realised I hadn't bought enough of the border fabric to mitre the corners. Was a major headache wondering how on earth I was going to get it finished as there wasn't enough fabric even to square off the border. Had to strip the border down to its different patterns and managed to get it to go all around by inserting small framed panels on each side. The fabric is glorious. I've ordered some more in the cinnamon and black combo and this time I made sure there will be enough border fabric. A learning experience for sure!
