My FIL made me one when I was first married. First it was a great "high chair" for my girls when they out grew the chair with a tray. Then we used it for years in our bedroom so DH could iron his shirts for work (if it's not getting sewn to another piece of fabric I'm not ironing it, lol). I put several layers of batting on it and covered it with fabric to match our bedroom. Great invention!

One reason I'm trying to figure out the age of mine is that I want to sell it. So if anybody that wants one is ever in the Knoxville TN area, let me know.
One of the interesting things about mine is that it was apparently from a very rural area. A couple of the crossmembers have been replaced with whittled down branches!
