Jacqueline deJonge Challenge

I have loved paper piecing since I first saw it demo'd by Jacqueline de Jonge about 8-9 years ago at the Paducah AQS show. I bought this pattern at that time. Then, all of it had to be traced and much of it was difficult to understand as it was all metric. She has since improved those things. Last year I decided to give it a try with the fabrics that I had left over from a another quilt. I had just enough to do this. It was a challenge, but lots of fun. The pattern is "Surprisingly Red." Thanks for looking.

Beautiful, love the colors you chose and the quilting is beautiful. I'm working on my 2nd DeJonge. I've made Aurora and I'm now working on Joy.

Stunning and I love the close-up views of the quilting you did. I also have a De Jonge pattern on my "Bucket List" and I've done one other paper pieced project so thought I could do this one till I looked over the instructions and then I "gulped". I know later I'll get the courage to pull it out and seeing yours makes me even more determined so thank you for showing your beautiful quilt.
