I have the same pattern but it's only about 1/4 done. You have given me a reason to get it back out .
Keep at it, its so worth it. I have been sewing since I was small, my mother always made my clothes and I watched her sew. However never quilted till I came to Spain and have belonged to a Group here called the Vinuela Sew & Sews, I will give you a link and you can see our work. I find quilting challenging and with so many different tecniques it keeps me going. I also love applique.

Here is the link and you can see pictures of us all just click on the pictures and see our work

glad you enjoyed your visit to the Group, we have more ladies now since that was put up, and so many with different talents, whodo lace making, crochet, knitting, cross stitch and so much more than just patchwork, so we are very diverse. The web page is updated regularly so visit again.

Very stunning quilt. I'd love to know whose pattern, also if you chose your fabrics randomly from stash or a planned method?

Gorgeous quilt. So glad you are keeping it for yourself. So often we make such beautiful things and then give them to others to enjoy.
