Japanese laptop case
Christmas present. I used a Japanese panel for the outer fabric I bought many years ago at a very nice quilt show in the convention center in Oakland, California. They featured many Asian fabrics and artists. This fabric reminds me of a great afternoon with a good friend. The inner fabric for the pocket lining is a black floral Chinese silk brocade. I inherited some beautiful silks which I am always hesitant to cut such beautiful fabric. The silk will help the laptop slide right in. I struggled with this because I started it at night, I made many mistakes. I finished this morning in a snap, because morning is the best time for me to sew.
