You are so kind to do that. I make small quilts and I made a ribbon tie out of one of the fabrics I use. Works great for me.

Mumtoliam.
I did not quilt it and I am amazed at the work the lady who does the long arming around here can do. To give props, her name is Fannie Wengerd in Belton SC...

Anyway, she called that the "popcorn pattern". Not sure if that helps in anyway.

Thanks everyone for all of your kind words. You are all so supportive of the newbies. :-D

And I will agree about that book. I highly suggest it to anyone who wants to strip piece with jelly rolls. This was not actually jelly rolls it was several FQ cut in 2 1/2" strips. I find I seem to like those and I have taken to cutting my scraps into that size if they are big enough. The other comfort quilt I made was a pattern from that book. It was last year.

That lady was also diagnosed with "terminal" lung cancer it has now been 13 months and she went back to work last month. So there is always hope!!

Thank you for sharing <wave>
Bless you for reaching out in such a tangible way to a lady who needs the comfort and a family who will always remember a loving gesture during their trial.

It is really pretty and I love pink and purple together. I hope to make one in a couple of months using those colors, if I don't get side tracked or forget. Very thoughtful of you.
