    HI
I just put together 35 blocks and wasn't until I did the very last one that I figured out why I was having to trim all the segments - I cut the center block an inch too small. Can't believe did that????????
But I am bound and determined to use them anyway - so I came up with 3 ways to put the blocks together:
Just all side by side and no sashings
    Sashings inbetween each row
Sashings all around blocks to frame each of them
I need opinions and suggestions on how to proceed.
    HELP
    Thank You
    Karen

My 2 cents: either no sashing at all or sashing around each block. By the way I think someone was asking just the other day for suggestions for a brown quilt, and this one is just beautiful. Love your choice of fabrics!

I think that I like the sashings all around best, but the first one is good too. Nice work no matter what you decide.

With no sashing you get more movement and a secondary block. I vote no sashing.

Maybe put the blocks together in groups of 4 and sashing around the groups. Just another option to try--- Love the quilt you're making. Good work!

i like the sashing around all the blocks. It helps my eye rest on the blocks themselves and appreciate their beauty. BTW I don't usually like brown quilts but you have put together a beauty here. I love it!!!!

I like all the sub-patterns going on without the sashing but either way is pretty.

I like no sashing or sashing all around. Both are equally nice and make it look like a totally different quilt! One more contemporary and one more traditional.

    Beautiful color scheme....thanks for sharing!

I would vote for no sashing. Then add a narrow inner border in one of the black prints and then a wider outer border in the brown polka dot.

Be sure to post your finished project....have a great day!
