    It ended up being a 90/14 Microtex needle. I tried a topstitch needle but it didn’t do the trick for me.

    That is fantastic. Love the batiks and your FMQing is great for your first attempt on a whole quilt given your troubles. Great job. It must feel great to have accomplished this.
