It doesn't look simple or easy. Beautiful trees. I agree flying geese would detract from this gorgeous quilt. Perhaps little bear paws if you are wanting an additional pattern. Just a thought.

Actually, if someone knows how to change a pattern to paper piecing, I hope she or he will do a tutorial for us. I would love to know this trick.

Your Jeweled Forest is beautiful. I have my pattern and bought a bunch of jeweled toned fat quarters to use in it. That is the first quilt I'm going to make after I recover from surgery on Monday. Hope I can get it done in time for Christmas.

I was so inspired when you posted this the first time! I believe I understood that the pattern came from a magazine a couple of years ago, so I assume it is no longer available. But I couldn't get those trees out of my head! So I printed out the photo and drew out my own PP pattern, changed it just a bit by thickening the trunk. I did my three with Christmas prints because I made individual trees, and expect to use them as candle mats, small gifts for family members who will appreciate the work and love that went into them. I will try to post my pattern and a picture of one of the trees---my first attempt at photos since all the changes on the Board!

Nice job. Do you know how to convert other blocks into a paper pieced pattern? If so, would you consider doing a tute for the rest of us?
