The bees I'd made didn't show up too well trimmed in gold and white wings on that background, so I added a little black and gold instead of stressing that my choices weren't perfect.

I decided I would embroider Rylee's name in the center block since I left off the big center bee and made smaller ones. On the first attempt it skipped part of the lower part of the first letter. I went back over it, but it didn't look wonderful. On the second attempt my machine went nuts and the upper thread fed down into the bobbin and jam-packed the bobbin case! I'd never seen that happen! I took it all apart, cleaned the bobbin case, dusted, oiled it and put it all back together. Still having fun? Yeah. On the third attempt, well, you can see it in the photo.

NExt, I sewed the pieces together and then sandwiched. This is my version of the pattern. An easy pattern, but I've learned a lot in the process.

Now I have two questions.
1. How do I quilt it? (I've had some ideas for part of it.)
2. Will you help me with a name?
