This was last years BOM RW&B blocks that I made through my LQS. I made it big enough for my son a lap quilt. His birthday was the end of July and he finally came over and got it today. He had a big smile when he saw I had another quilt for him. The pics don't really show the details of the fabrics very well but they were white on white, blue, red and red stars on off white. The red block and blue corners of those as well as the flying geese are different from the ones used in the BOM as she provided that fabric, and I added to it later when I decided to make it bigger for my son. I also used a different blue for the setting triangles and the red in the border.

Oh my goodness. Thank you everyone for your compliments; it means a lot to me.

zyxquilts, I don't think he will be getting tired of this one for a long time. LOL!

suzic46, the flying geese came about because even after adding the additional blocks, I needed it to be bigger for him so he could lay on the couch and it would cover him. He is almost 6 foot.

Ninnie, Norbanaquilts, Mrs. Mel, and Bev---thank you, thank you. Your kind words are deeply appreciated.

Mrs. Mel, some were a challenge, but the nice thing about being BOMs is that our teacher (the shop owner) gave us tips each month for the blocks. If we get stuck, we can always take the blocks into the shop and she will help us out.

When I was working on the blocks, I had no idea what I would do with them. It wasn't until after I finished the blocks that it occurred to me that the RW&B was perfect for my son.

Thank you Debbie1 and SAHM for the compliments.
