Have you ever tried to take a pic of your bathroom? Well this is all I could get of my shower curtain. 9 patch squares are nine inch finished, set on point. Used flannel as a batting and meander machine quilted in large setting squares and triangles as well as yellow 9 patch squares. Rest of motif in bath is my Dutch Delft accessories.

How beautiful is that!!! Are those yellow blocks alternated w/the blue blocks? The camera shows them as being tan blocks. Anyway, I bet that looks great in there w/ all the Delft accessories! How striking! 9P is my fave for sure!! You did great!!

Yes--The "tan" blocks are a soft bright buttery yellow. Glad you like it.

Thanks all. Think I used 30 9 patch blocks--dimensions somewhere around 72 x 80 inches. When I get tired of it I can clip off the hanging ties and use is as a regular summer quilt!

What a lovely shower curtain! Thanks for your inspiration. I have been planning a Christmas shower curtain for a while. Now, maybe I will get it done.

My two favorite color combinations are blue and yellow. Always sunny and bright! Good job with the curtain.

i love the dutch delft fabric...being a good dutch girl who collects it...

do you remember who makes it... any info would be greatly apprciated...

i can see all my aunts (all dutch girls too) needing new table runners...

    Wow.

Is this regular cotton fabric then, not the plasticky shower curtain stuff? I've never seen a quilted shower curtain and would love one... Doesn't it get mouldy with the moisture in the bath?

Hey thanks for all the complements! To answer some questions:
    1. bjnicholson--Of course it's okay to bookmark
    2. dljennings--I bought this some time ago, I think at Joann's and it's actually more like Asian porcelain than Delft--FYI Delft is a old (and I mean old) replication of Oriental dishware! No info on the selvage though. I'll PM you.
    3. salmonsweet--Yes 100% cotton. I do use a vinyl liner on the inside of the tub to keep the curtain dry. LOL--I just checked and no sign of mold or much dirt. It's been hanging since we moved into our new home Easter of 2007 and has never been washed.
I have no window in my bathroom and this really brightens up the room--Yup just like blue and yellow brighten up a room.
