Just a few of my quilts...
#19
Continued thanks! I get such a kick out of playing with novelty fabrics. Ok.. to address the comments....
"Kissy Kissy" was a thank you gift for the friend who brought me a BUNCH of fabric while she was vacationing in HI. Most of the fabric I used to make it was from the stash she brought me.
The Christmas tree is actually VERY BRIGHT..I think I'll take better photographs this Christmas. I made it for my MIL who was in a nursing home about 3 years ago. We added more decorations to it annually. She passed last April, and the wall hanging came back to us at year 4. I already have a little porcelain "angel" brooch that will go on the tree in memory of her.
The big horse blankets are made from a Thimbleberries pattern called "Street Scenes". I just love it for a quickie quilt AND the nice display of the novelty print.
I won't dig out the rest...LOL I made my first grandson a BLANKET A MONTH (the WHOLE FIRST YEAR HE WAS ALIVE). Each month in a theme for the month using novelty fabrics. Now.. I have TWO more grand sons...but they are going to get theme bibs if their lucky...LOL I had to come out of retirement and go back to work recently because my husband is pretty sick. My quilting as slowed down considerably.
It's been fun posting the pictures, and thanks again for taking the time to look at them.
