Default Just a few Projects

Working on some quilts. The pink blocks are from the Aboriginal fabric which I love from Australia. I included a photo of what the fabric looks like before making the Stack and Whack with the Deb Tucker Lemoyne Star ruler. Making it for a very special young lady. The brown block is a round robin that I'm participating in at my LQS. I added from the inner black border out to end. And the scrappy kite quilt is just a quilt. I also have about 5 more projects in the making. I get bored and have to switch often.

Where did you get the pattern for the strippy kite quilt? It looks like a great scrap bag project, and there are always people asking what to do with their scraps.

Take a 6" square of template plastic. In one corner mark 3" on either side. At the opposite corner mark 1/4" on either side. Now draw a line on both sides connecting the top and the bottom. Cut out the template, it should look like a kite. Now cut out 6" squares of fabric. I used a white on white all the same. Use the template to mark the fabric. Use strips of all sizes and start adding them at the line you drew. Basically like a quilt as you go. Great stash buster.
