It looks great! Your points look perfect! Great job!
Just so you know, sashing goes between the blocks. You were right, the fabric around the outside is the border, followed by the binding!

Gorgeous! Love your colour choices! Looks really nice! BTW, sashing are the strips you use to join the blocks together and the strips that become a frame around your quilt is the border. The last 'border' that is usually thinner is the binding and that is the finishing touch.
