Thanks to all for the wonderful words of encouragement!! YES! Quilter 65 you are so right. I have already started my second quilt which is pretty industrious for a newbie but I think I can do it....I am creating a french roses appliqued quilt for my king bed, with a matching round bolster to run across the top. I am going to leave the edges of the flowers alone so when I wash the quilt top before quilting they will soften and fray a little.

I think this project will probably take me all of 2016 to complete because I have so many other things going on at the same time. I will post photos starting in January sometime as I go along and yes it will probably turn into a french roses king size wild color combos art quilt...

My quilt got mixed reviews at the Party last night...LOL Some loved it, others mostly the traditional quilters did not.
Unfortunately the guild is mostly traditional. My little quilt stuck out like a sore thumb...giggles
!

OMGosh... I love it. You made it so fun with the placement of your fabrics for the star, the leaves... everything. Awesome job!

You commented that your first quilt was your last but oh girl with your talent there will never be a last quilt. You've been bitten by the quilt bug. Beautiful table topper. You go girl!

I'll bet that 5 years from now you will have gone on to new challenges, but will still like this one.
