Just finished my new Featherweight bag!

Great cover! I don't have a featherweight, but I can see where I could use one like that for my serger which has no carrying case. Not that I move it very often, but occasionally I have an opportunity to bring it to a sew-in but I hesitate because of the awkwardness of moving it. The only change I would have to make is to make it deeper. Thanks for the link.

Just wanted to offer a quick little follow-up. I don't use the original case for my Featherweight (because the stench from the case is quite ovewhelming ), I use one of the Stanley rolling tool cases for it. Someone on this board had mentioned these cases but of course I can't remember who right now. Anyway, this is the case I store my machine in:

The Featherweight fits nicely into the bottom, and the bag does too! Just set the machine in the bag and the bag inside the case, and voila! it's so easy to lift it out using the handles on the bag.
We sewing gals and guys have ingenuity to spare! (We are also broke, but that's another story. )
