I have seen a red, white and blue version of this idea. I like yours better. Your quilting is marvelous. It is certainly true that the wrong batting can interfere with one's work. I was given some old fashioned batting with zero tensile strength. I don't know how people made quilts with it. I got rid of it.

I love your quilt, I have been looking at this pattern, doing it in blues and browns... I want to do log cabin as I have never done one as of yet. Your quit is very eye catching

My idea came from the front cover of one of the magazines I get. Can't remember which magazine that was but took it into EQ7 to get the dimensions correctly and the way I went. Luckily I still had lots of 2.5" blue and neutral scrap strips from another quilt to use up 1st. I love logcabins and there are so many versions out there that you can continue to make just logcabin patterns and never make the same one twice. Working on a diamond logcabin at the moment designed by one of our gals here.

I just took that very same quilt off my machine! some of the very same scraps, too. My quilting isn't that nice but it is the same quilt. I have had a stroke that affected my eyes and can't read the directions on how to post pictures. wish I could.

grandmalittle, congratulations on finishing the quilt. It takes a lot of scraps but sure empties out the tub for us, doesn't it. Sure wish you could post your photo of it. I commend anyone that takes up this hobby/job of making a quilt and quilt it themselves. Its a full time job and you after having a stroke continue to strive, so KUDOS to you.
