Some times you just have to go for it.

You can always change it if you don't like it.

I agree it needs a black border. I think it would set it off. Love the fabric you used.

oh ok thank you rose marie, i had seen one like it at the quilt shop i go to so i just copied that one but i didn't put those little tiny squares in the sashing - that looked too hard for me. but somebody told me it was called stained glass window, but whatever, it sure is pretty. and thanks for the info

I didnt put the tiny squares in it either. I love the pattern, it is so easy to do and comes out so nice. I used marble fabrics for mine. They were charm packs called Crystals by Fabri-Quilt. Smaller than the 8 in blocks the pattern called for but turned out great anyway.
Love it done in the Batiks you used.

well, i've got little problem though. i had already cut 2" strips instead of 2-1/2, so now i've got to use those for the binding. that won't haardly be enough to turn over. what do yall think it would look lilke to sew all the 2" strips of all 3 colors together lengthwise then cut them 2-1/2" crosswise of that for the binding?

If I had made it, I'd leave it just as it is right now. It looks like a wonderful window with all kinds of lovely colors showing through. I love it, I want to make one, right NOW!

I downloaded it immediately. Thanks so much.
I've been looking for a fast pattern that will ( as a gift) make my sister happy and still be easy for me to make. This is it, for sure! 8)
