Hi, I'm up late tonight so thought I'd check in. Surgery was a bit of a surprise with the Doctor having to repair my miniscus as well as reconstruct my ligament. So, recovery is 6 weeks of no weight on that leg whatsoever. What do ya know? I took my first shower today and inspite of the bench in the shower, I managed to loose footing and slipped on my way out and put all my weight on my poor leg three times before I got my balance. The Dr said as long as the stitches are still in place and not bleeding out, they can't do anything until my next appt.
I appreciate all of the very nice well wishes for my recovery as well as great comments on my sons quilt. I can't wait now to get in and sew the sandwich together. We are thinking of rigging something up tomorrow (after I sleep some). I used a yellow flannel material for the backing so he'll be nice and warm when using it. :-D I've already finished all my handsewing projects in record time, lol. On to the next...
