    another UFO! :hunf:

this is what i made from the January Block of the Month plus some leftover border strips from my June 09 "quilt of the month".

i had intended to just add this pic to my BOM post but didn't see a way to do that.

I like this very much patrice. I think those neatly made mitered corners are real eye candy. The neat finishing touch.

Very nice, I saw the center piece on the BOM. Are you making a wall hanging or a VERY large quilt with this? the colors are beautiful. My BOM fabric is sitting on the kitchen table right now ready to start. Its just tester fabric to see if I enjoy making this one or not. I am not grand at all those points as I tend to somehow end up losing the tips that are at the edge on half of them when I sew them. GRRR.

thanks, everyone, for the encouraging compliments! :-)

first, let me assure the brat that i managed to pick off more than one of those points. (why do you think there's no closeup? ) in fact, up close, there are about a half-dozen gafarbles. i'm hoping i can figure out a way to quilt it that with either fix them or disguise them. time will tell.

since it's intended as a companion to the lap quilt i made in june, i'm going to add an extra back that isn't quilted. that way, if it's left alone it can be a table topper. if whoever gets it wants to they'll be able to snip some threads and stuff it for a BIG pillow. if neither of those ideas appeal to her/him, i guess it could also be a wall hanging.

I love the echo effect of the star points. Is that this years BOM on this website, or from a quilt shop.

Reminds me of summer and the black adds drama. I think it's beautiful and would be much loved!

It is lovely! You did a wonderful job. We dont see any of your imperfections...and neither will anyone else. I am the same way with my own work. Whoever it is for will absolutely positively LOVE it. I am sure of that!

That would be great as a table topper.
