And to think...I have been giving my "scrapes" away
Think I must start keeping them and give this a try.

I have had a request for the pattern. The picture is of one block - 9 squares - 18 HST's.

Starting in the upper left - top row is dark over medium; dark over medium; and medium over light.
Next row dark over medium; medium over light; medium over light.
Bottom row all medium over light.

It is hard to tell, I had the directions on a piece of paper but can't find it now. Also DH tends to play fast and loose with colors, when he runs out of mediums he substitutes darks and vice versa. He made this one. I hate to tell you how small the triangles are, but the pattern would work with any size.

When you set the blocks together, put 4 upper left corners together to make a larger block which will have light on the four corners. Then when you are setting the larger blocks together put 4 light corners together. And so on.
Hope this makes sense, this must be the worst tute ever.

Wow!! Is this something you sat down to do, or have you been saving your HSTs from other projects, etc? This must have taken you quite a long time.

Thanks for pointing out the block--DD and I were trying to figure it out--appreciate the clarification! I have several small HST's, but don't know if I have your patience; might have to try it??? Maybe!

If the HST's are small may be this could be done as a Leaders & Enders quilt?? I have never done HST's this way, just small strips and squares but should be OK shouldn't it?
I love the way you make another scrappy quilt without really thinking about it.

What a great use for scraps!
It really does look like you are looking through a kaleidoscope, the way the colours are arranged.
    You did a fantastic job!
