If the HST's are small may be this could be done as a Leaders & Enders quilt?? I have never done HST's this way, just small strips and squares but should be OK shouldn't it?
I love the way you make another scrappy quilt without really thinking about it.

It really does look like you are looking through a kaleidoscope, the way the colours are arranged.
