    I agree it IS beautiful ... but doesn't look black on my screen, looks more purple/gray ... kinda mottled.

    Agree...it does look a little different due to the lighting in the room (and on my monitor too). Fabric he used is Blank's Fusion Illusion in black, which is mottled to begin with. I like to use it for backing, but it's definitely pretty enough to use on the front of a quilt too.
