I love the cats in the center -

I too am wondering - did you design the blocks or have a pattern for them?

No, this is a Block of the Month called "A Kitten's Tale." It's all that kind of sepia colored fabrics. Thirties prints. It's different from the other ones I've seen. Each block has a little cat "scene" in it.

Yes, just one block. The pinwheels about about 3 1/2 inches. The main block is 7 1/2 x 9 1/2, so it is kind of like a mini-quilt, but part of a larger one.
