What a cutie of a quilt. Doesn't that make all that work and time worth while? I am guessing she loved it. I would have.

Thanks, everyone for your kind comments. It's hard to see the embroidered blocks in the picture but they were vintage ones that I got at an auction last year. I had thought I'd make a baby quilt with them but some of the blocks were too negative for a baby. ..... like 'I'm a dunce at math', etc. But my SIL does struggle with math so it was perfect for her. And, she loves quilts with black in them and 30's repro fabrics so she does love it.

    Great quilt!

I have a set of embroidered dogs I did for my best friend several years ago that I never did anything with because I couldn't decide how to incorporate them into a quilt. Yours has really inspired me! She may finally get her quilt this year!

I once bought an outdated calendar at a garage sale and my husband thought I had lost my mind. It had a different quilt pattern for every month and one was for a pretty good sized applique cat. I made three baby quilts using that pattern so it was certainly worth the 50 cents I paid for it.

I love your quilt and your signature line. I have said for years "Sewing and quilting are cheaper than therapy". I'm not sure everyone believed me, but I believe it.
