I went to Kona Bay's event at their Redmond, WA warehouse today. It was fun. Company owner, Doug, spoke about how he started the company, then demo'd how they roll the fabric onto the bolts.

Then designer Georgie Gerl shared many of her projects that she's made for Asian Fabric magazine as well as her personal favorites.

We got to shop the 6 yard bolt sale and from the gift store all at 10% off. We also received a very nice gift bag and I one one of the drawings for a gorgeous 1 yard piece of purple and gold fabric.

How fun...I need to take the initiave and drive on up to Seattle area - I am in N. Calif. and its a straight shot up I-5 - last time I was in Seattle it was so busy and very confusing to a small town person like me - but it looks like it would be fun to attend.

What a wonderful day. I love that first quilt. Awesome use of large floral prints.

Wow, that would be a very interesting place to visit. It's good to see where the products come from. Love the examples of the quilts in the background.
