Ok, so i laid out my blocks today, this is not all of them, just what would fit on my bed. There will be 8 blocks by 8 when done, with a border around the edge. Soooooo, lol, anyways, i lay out my blocks, and i stand back and look, and it was like omg, its just tons of roses! Everywhere! lol It just looked like one big mass of confusion, so that is layout #1, i asked hubby and daughter, and they're like, yup, kinda ugly! LOL! Sooooo, i tried layout #2, they said looks bit better, but hubby didnt like it. Said i needed more floral in there! So!!! Then came layout #3!!!!! And uhm, he says he likes that one, geez! LOL Anyways, i guess it's gonna be #3

Well the photos didnt load in the right order, but they are labelled which ones they are :)

This is the queensize raffle quilt i am trying to make

It's meant to be a larger version of this, an hd wallhanging that is going to be a gift for the hd clinic, but somehow, the queensize quilt doesnt look nearly as nice as the wallhanging, at least i dont think, but hey, wont know til it's finished :)

Awe, thanks Patrice, i'm colour challenged! I can think something looks good 'til i lay it out, but the good news is, i'm making this an annual raffle quilt, so i have room to improve each year! LOL LOL

Like them all ~ # 3 has more color because of the center. Very pretty Barb. Your wall hanging turned out great also.

Barb, this is turning into a lovely quilt..don't be so hard on yourself

I prefer #3 and I think the reason you prefer your wall hanging is the addition of the burgundy border which makes the colours pop, so maybe you should consider doing that in your quilt too!!

Barb, this is an absolutely beautiful quilt. All the layouts are beautiful but # 3, being the same as the wall hanging, looks wonderful. Like Izy said, put the burgandy strip to make it pop. Beautiful work, you should be so proud. :D

I really like the way the floral fabric looks in your wallhanging, so guess I'd agree #3 for me too.

I like all 3 also, but "if" I had to choose, I think the extra color in #3 is very pretty!

I like the number 3 too. It has more of the flower fabric like the wallhanging.

Good thing you auditioned the blocks before setting them. I have made the mistake of just setting them like they are supposed to be and been disapointed later.

That is funny you asked your family about the layouts. My hubby would not have had an opinion he is very careful to keep a gaurd up when it comes to my work. LoL! Smart man, huh?
