    Lapquilt top with scappy trees

Just finished this quilt top, not sure how I'll quilt it yet. The blocks are based on the pattern Acorn's Promise, but the pattern puts all the blocks on point and I wanted a mix of square and on-point. I used up lots of scraps strips on this one.

Wow, that's a lot of teeny tiny diamonds! Great top and I would FMQ leaves in the tops and bark into the trunks.

I second what Tartan says about the tiny diamonds! But they came together so nicely and I do love how you alternated them.

I agree, SPECTACULAR. I would quilt each tree with a thread that coordinates with the fabric in each tree.

I echo what everyone has written. Great quilt and you did a spectacular job sorting your scraps to represent the seasons.

wow... beautiful tree blocks. I'm not sure I'd have the patience to work with tiny scraps as they appear in each tree but you obviously enjoy it! Maybe you'll post photos again after you have quilted it? It's going to be a beautiful lap piece.
attitude is everything...the rest will fall into place.

I have never seen this pattern before. It is beautiful because of its many colors. But, I find it fascinating to look at. You executed the pattern beautifully and I know that your quilting, whatever you choose, will enhance it further. I will be looking forward to seeing it completed.
