Here is a picture of the fabric used in the kaleidoscope quilt, it is used in the border. I use a 12" square ruler for all my quilts. I just square two sides and then move the ruler to get the other two sides. I don't buy many extras.

I am embarrassed to say that I only know how to SITD, so that is how all my quilts are quilted.
