Love both of them, but I'm especially drawn to the Dresden! Both are beautiful!! :thumbup:

Yes I did quilt as you go. the sashing is bias tape under lace that was zig zagged together. Lace was too narrow, so I joined two pieces together then use white bias tape on the back for the sashing. I like quilt as you go, much easier to machine quilt that way. Thanks for the comments.

You did a great job! I have been wondering about the quilt as you go thing. I have been wanting to try it. Just seems like it would be much easier to quilt. thanks for sharing with us.

The redwork on the back of Sunbonnet Sue is a pretty addition. And the Dresden plate - double quilted. That's an accomplishment you can be proud.
