Vovoa -

The GrandQuilter is a Pfaff machine with a stitch regulator and frame that allows you to quilt like a LAQ.

Gai -

There was a pattern - it's called "Cheaper by the Dozen" I think. You basically take 12 fat quarters and cut them into 6.5 x 4.5 inch blocks. You put 6 of the colors in one group and the other 6 in another, and make 12.5 inch square blocks out of the rectangles. When you sew the blocks together you turn the group 1 blocks in one direction and tbhe group 2 blocks in the other.

It's a great beginner quilt; it's the one my wife started with. It looks nice since you have a lot of different fabrics.

Thanks again everyone for your comments. We're looking forward to posting more finished quilts.

It beautiful. You know what, it doesn't matter what our sewing skills are. When we make something for a loved one, it's the love put into it that they see. My grandmother wasn't the best, but I still have the doll clothes she made me close to 50 years ago. I also have a quilt top that she made for my dad in the mid 60's. Dad died before she finished it and mom never put it together. My biggest goal for this year is to finally quilt it. They are two of my biggest treasures after my kids and grandkids of course!!

Very pretty!
Does the Grand Quilter have a stitch regulator, or are you just very good?
